In House Bonspiels

The Schenectady Curling Club has a number of bonspiels through out the curling season, available to all its members. In this section you will find a list of all of those In House Bonspiels held in our club. Be sure to sign-up early. Please note that Invitational Bonspiels are not included in this list.

Who's eligible to participate? Any person belonging to our club who has a status of first year to full member is eligible to participate in any of these events unless otherwise indicated.

Men's Bonspiels

The Lovejoy
Senior skip bonspiel presented by Jeses Robert Lovejoy, member of SCC, and later continued by his son-in-law and former SCC president John Anderson.
Dates: Feb. 16 and 17, 2008
Four Events: Lovejoy, Rice, Steadwell, and Delack

The Harry Stants Memorial Bonspiel
Men's Junior Skip. Skips in the Lovejoy can only play downrink.
Dates: March 8 and 9, 2008
Four Events: Stants, Vaughen, Link, and Leonard

See what you and you alone got! Show it all off, meet the challenge and be all that you can be with no sweepers to blame.

Women's Bonspiels

C.R.U.E.
Join us for the CRUE! We will be playing 2 six end games with lunch in between. The cost will be ten dollars or less to cover the cost of lunch, depending on how many curlers participate. This event was started by Claire Brunkhorst, Ruth Kerr, Undine Fiedler and Evelyn Holmblad. They won the Empire State Bonspiel for SCC and decided our club needed an event for junior skips. They strongly believed in fostering the development of curling and passing down knowledge from experienced curlers to newer ones. Come join us! Family Bonspiel
Six end games. Individuals welcome. Some teams will come pre-formed, others made up on the spot. Pizza and soda supplied.
