Achilles Bonspiel
November 20 - 23, 2003

This weekend is the famous Achilles Bonspiel hosted by the Schenectady Curling Club. All members are invited to come and watch some great curling by the Schenectady Men's teams that are participating, as well as, all of the Out of Town teams that will be taking part.

There will be a number of dinners prepared throughout the weekend by Romano's of Clifton Park. On Friday night, November 21st, there will be an Italian Buffet served from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. On Saturday night, November 22nd, there will be a Top Round of Beef Dinner served at 6:00 pm. The price each night for dinner is $12.00 per person. There is a sign-up sheet in the club for each night. We would love to see you there for dinner, so if you are interested, be sure to sign-up.

On more important piece of information to mention. On Friday night there will be some GREAT entertainment. Frank Jaklitsch on guitar and Scotty West on the fiddle (regularly featured at Eamonn's in Loudonville) will be performing Celtic Folk, Pop and Traditional Music at the Curling Club. The music starts at 9:30 pm and will continue until 12:30 am. Make sure to stop over to enjoy a night out and support the club. Bring your dancing shoes or just relax and listen to the music while socializing with everyone.

Senior Friendship Tour

On Wednesday, November 12th our Canadian friends came and visited our club before heading to Utica. There was curling, dinner and fine entertainment. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Carosella Women's Invitational Bonspiel

On November 7th - 9th the First Carosella Women's Invitation Bonspiel was held at our Club. Becky and Shaun Paul hosted the Bonspiel and did a WONDERFUL job. The curling was great, the food was fabulous and the Ice was superb. Thanks to everyone who assisted Shaun Paul and Becky with the bonspiel to make it such a success!
